Drug Ballad

Doe Rae Mi Fa So La Ti Da,
Here I am once again caught in this dilemma,
Buzzed off of the vicodin and ecstasy,
A pill too many,
The colorful explosions in the sky,
These pretty little things,
Chasing shadows in pitch black darkness,
All reasoning is lost on me,
Am I hallucinating already?

Don’t stop just yet, the bottle is irresistible, it seduces,
Break them in half, pop and guzzle them down, they say the pain it eases,
I’m frantic, my head is spinning, I must sit down, my pulse, it’s growing faint, my loud mind falls silent, the reaming ceases,
A little aura it wraps me in,
The break I need from my self,
Seeing myself go,
Leaving that wretched conscience behind,
I’ll do what I want to.
Welcome to my drug ballad,
Watch me dance around without a care in the world, a little balette.

Through the streets, I really don’t know what it is that I’m seeking to plunder,
The skies are dark, clouds have burst open, lightning and thunder,
I’m going bananas, scouring the alley, just looking for someone to dismember,
Which blade do I pick, a Swiss, cleaver or a katana, I’m aching to commit a blunder,
If you could only read my thoughts, I bet it would send a chill down your spine, you’d shudder.

Uno Dos Tres,
You’ve never seen such precision and such finesse,
Just the sight of me sharpening my blades is enough to throw you off guard, it’s almost as if you’re caught in a trance,
Blood gushing out through the arteries, disfigured and leave your body lying around lanced,
The night has only but commenced,
No pity, I’m ill enough to catch a stray pup, tear it by its limbs and toss him over the neighboring fence,
Don’t stain my yard, I like to keep it neat down to a speck,
It’s remnants will adorn my dashboard, I keep it as a trophy, it’s decapitated head,
Jabbed the neighbor with a closed fist when he tried to confront me, broke his jaw, and with an uppercut, he got decked.

Drove his car over the curb,
I’m still drugged,
Eyes closing behind the wheel,
Horns blaring, people falling over one another, what a wonderful ordeal,
Tires screeching,
Bystanders squealing,
The peace and serenity was disturbed,
Ramming into the light pole, knocked it over shrouding the street in darkness, electricity disrupted,
Swerving over an elderly couple who couldn’t get out the way,
Blood stains and skid marks,
Hitting the hydrant to cover my tracks,
Looking at the carnage through the side mirrors, there’s someone over the tarmac,
Groggy and heavily injured, trying to stay alive, she’s lying there in a vicious spasm,
Throw the Gremlin in reverse gear,
Ran over her thrice and tied her up with with an extension cord to the trunk of the car,
Dragged her corpse 33 blocks,
Leaving the onlookers bewildered and looking on with distraught,
Over the gravel, her body follows, a crip,
Dump her in the other side of town and shoved her down a crypt,
Then rev the engine and drive away with a loud, wicked grin.

Leaving more destruction in my wake,
Pile-up crashes and wreaking havoc everywhere I go,
I intended for it to be a relaxing drive,
All these blood curling screams, on fear and helplessness my demon thrives,
A bottle of Henny in one hand, I want to prolong this surreal vibe,
But the effects are beginning to wear off, my conscience starts to jibe.

I might as well take a detour in the park,
It’s such a beautiful evening, everything around me is dark.
Sit down on the bench watching ducks waddle about in the pond, they seem lark.

I pull out the cocked and loaded Nighthawk from my back pocket,
Loud gun shots ring in the middle of the night,
Tucking them in bed of the shore,
Watch them drown one by one,
The gunshots are like a soothing lullaby,
Instead of counting sheep, I’m counting geese as I fall drowsily over the leafy ground,
The Lunesta pills finally caught up to me,
In a state of comatose,
These demonic effects that only pass after I lay out cold on the mud,
A drug ballad that remains untold for another day.

  1. This poem has lots of violence in it. I am glad you wrote each word and did not really experience all of it. Any one who is this stoned should take a taxi home. Just because I like good poetry very well done my friend !!

    1. Haha, yes, this is purely a work of fiction.
I’m really inspired by Eminem and his music so every once in a while, I am tempted to try my hand at the horrorcore genre. Glad you enjoyed it :D.
I’m really thankful for your wonderful words ā¤ā¤.

    1. Yes, that’s true.
Personally, this particular piece was strictly fiction as I haven’t used any drugs as of yet haha (nor did I commit a felony šŸ˜‚). I know that would only lead me down to a darker alley in the form of addiction. This was only an attempt at a horrorcore genre and I hope you enjoyed it ā¤.
